A Seminar on Documentation for Accreditation
A seminar titled “Documentation for Accreditation” was organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Khwaja Yunus Ali University on 19 May 2026 to ensure proper documentation in accordance with the guidelines of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC).
The seminar was conducted by the Director of IQAC, Prof. Dr. Mostofa Mahmud Hasan, and attended by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Md. Asraf Ali, along with other university officials and faculty members.
During the seminar, the Director emphasized the importance of maintaining updated documentation, following standardized formats, ensuring timely submission, developing digital repositories, and conducting regular internal audits. He also discussed the current scenario of both public and private universities striving to submit final applications for the accreditation of various academic programs. Furthermore, he collected feedback from the stakeholders attending the seminar and expressed his commitment to working closely with every department to guide, prepare, customize, and refine accreditation-related documents.
At the program, the Head of the Department, Md. Sumon Ahmed, shared his recent experiences and insights from a visit to a private university conducted a few days earlier. Prof. Dr. Md. Aminul Haque also provided valuable suggestions regarding the accreditation process. Additionally, Dean Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahed Akond recommended that departmental representatives coordinate closely with IQAC to verify documentation in accordance with accreditation standards.
The Vice-Chancellor highly appreciated the efforts of IQAC and highlighted the significance of proper documentation for accreditation and continuous institutional improvement. He encouraged all faculty members to actively fulfill their assigned responsibilities related to the accreditation process and assured full administrative support in every aspect of this initiative.
The seminar concluded with active participation and interactive discussions among faculty members. It is expected that the accreditation documentation process will be completed efficiently and submitted to BAC in the near future.
