The Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology (BCBT), Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU), proudly announces the formation of the Network of Young Biotechnologists of Bangladesh (NYBB) – Khwaja Yunus Ali University Student Chapter. The KYAU student chapter has been officially formed by the NYBB authority on 20th June 2026. This initiative aims to foster research, innovation, scientific leadership, and professional development among biotechnology students while connecting them with the national biotechnology community.
NYBB is one of Bangladesh's leading youth-driven biotechnology platforms, dedicated to connecting aspiring biotechnologists across universities through research, innovation, scientific communication, leadership development, and collaborative learning. The establishment of the KYAU Student Chapter provides students with a unique opportunity to engage in national-level scientific activities while building a vibrant academic and research-oriented community within the university.
The chapter envisions developing skilled, ethical, and globally competitive biotechnologists through research, collaboration, and continuous learning. Its mission is to promote scientific excellence by organizing seminars, workshops, training programs, networking events, and research-oriented activities that enhance students' academic and professional competencies.
The executive committee of the chapter consists of A. M. Sadik as Chair, Most. Anamika Khatun and Most. Nayeema Khatun as Co-Chairs, Sanglap Basak Ovi as Treasurer, and Umme Ruman Riya, Md. Kamrul Hasan, Mst. Sadikun Islam Shithe, Mst. Nusrat Jahan, Fahimatun Nubah, Md. Shariful Islam, and Most. Sadia Islam Mumu as Executive Members.
The Department extends its heartfelt congratulations to the newly formed committee and wishes them success in promoting research culture, scientific collaboration, and biotechnology education while representing Khwaja Yunus Ali University at the national level.
