As part of its commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance, Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU) successfully conducted the Question Paper Moderation sessions for the Spring 2026 Final Examinations from April 22 to May 7, 2026.
The moderation process involved eleven academic departments, including Pharmacy, English, Business Administration, EEE, Law, ICT, CSE, BCBT, Microbiology, MTE, and Islamic Studies. Faculty members and moderation committee representatives actively participated in reviewing examination questions to ensure accuracy, fairness, and alignment with course learning outcomes.
Question paper moderation serves as a vital quality assurance mechanism, helping to maintain syllabus relevance, eliminate ambiguities, reduce examiner bias, prevent repetition of previous questions, and uphold academic standards. The process also contributes to institutional credibility and continuous improvement in assessment practices.
During the moderation sessions, departments submitted multiple question sets through their respective moderation committees. Strict security measures were maintained throughout the process, including secure storage of question papers and controlled handling of digital files by the Office of the Controller of Examinations.
The successful completion of the moderation sessions reflects KYAU’s unwavering dedication to transparency, fairness, and excellence in academic assessment. The university extends its sincere appreciation to all moderation committee members, faculty members, and supporting staff for their professionalism and cooperation in ensuring the smooth execution of this important academic activity.
