KYAU Vice-Chancellor Attends Bangladesh-Malaysia Higher Education Networking Program

A Bangladesh–Malaysia Higher Education Networking Program was held on May 18, 2026, at the Renaissance Hotel in Gulshan, Dhaka, bringing together vice-chancellors, university leaders, and higher education stakeholders from Bangladesh and Malaysia to strengthen academic cooperation and international collaboration.
The program was jointly organized by the High Commission of Malaysia in Dhaka and the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh. The event served as an important platform for fostering dialogue, partnership development, and knowledge exchange between higher education institutions of the two countries.
Representing Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU), Professor Dr. Md. Asraf Ali, Honorable Vice-Chancellor , attended the networking program. He was accompanied by Mr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Registrar of KYAU. The event was attended by vice-chancellors and senior academic leaders from leading public and private universities across Bangladesh.
During the program, participants discussed various opportunities for strengthening academic and research collaboration between Bangladesh and Malaysia. Key areas of discussion included joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchange programs, academic resource sharing, and the development of sustainable institutional partnerships. The forum also emphasized the importance of enhancing internationalization efforts and promoting cross-border knowledge exchange to meet the evolving demands of global higher education.
The networking program highlighted the growing significance of international academic engagement in advancing innovation, research excellence, and quality education. Participation in such global forums reflects KYAU’s commitment to expanding its international footprint and building meaningful collaborations that support academic development, research innovation, and cross-cultural learning.
