The Department of Pharmacy at Khwaja Yunus Ali University recently organized an educational visit to the Central Hospital Pharmacy, involving students from the 20th batch as part of their experiential learning activities.

The visit aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world pharmaceutical practice, allowing students to observe the practical aspects of hospital pharmacy operations. During the visit, students were introduced to various sections of the hospital pharmacy, including medication dispensing systems, prescription handling procedures, inventory management, and patient counseling practices.

Pharmacists at the Central Hospital warmly received the students and provided valuable insights into their daily responsibilities, workflow management, and the importance of ensuring safe and effective medication use in a clinical setting. The students also had the opportunity to interact with healthcare professionals and clarify their queries regarding hospital pharmacy practice.

Faculty members accompanying the batch emphasized the significance of such field visits in enhancing professional understanding and preparing students for future roles in clinical and hospital pharmacy sectors.

The students expressed great enthusiasm and appreciation for the opportunity, stating that the visit significantly improved their understanding of real-life pharmaceutical services and strengthened their interest in clinical pharmacy practice.

The Department of Pharmacy continues to encourage such educational excursions to ensure well-rounded academic and professional development of its students.
