The Khwaja Yunus Ali University family is deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Mr. Md. Taherul Alam, Assistant Professor of the ICT Department, who lost his life in a tragic road accident on Saturday, 30 May 2026.

On Tuesday, 2 June 2026, a delegation from Khwaja Yunus Ali University, led by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Asraf Ali, visited Nagarpur, Tangail, to pay respects at the grave of the late Mr. Taherul Alam and offered prayers for the eternal peace and forgiveness of his soul. The delegation later visited his residence, met with the bereaved family members, and expressed heartfelt condolences.

On this occasion, a financial contribution equivalent to one day's salary from all teachers, officers, and staff of the university was handed over to the family as temporary support on behalf of the university. The university’s Advisor, Professor Dr. Hossain Reza, presented the contribution to the family. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor also assured the family that the university would continue to explore further ways of extending support and assistance in the future.

Among those present were Professor Dr. Mostofa Mahmud Hasan, Director of IQAC; Mr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Registrar; and the heads of various academic and administrative departments. They prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and conveyed their deepest sympathies to the grieving family. They also prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the family strength, patience, and perseverance during this difficult time.

The dedication, integrity, and student-friendly personality of late Mr. Md. Taherul Alam will always be remembered by the Khwaja Yunus Ali University community. His contributions to the university and his positive impact on students and colleagues will remain a lasting source of inspiration for years to come.
