Department of Islamic Studies Hosts Islamic Quiz Competition Award Ceremony at Khwaja Yunus Ali University
The Department of Islamic Studies, Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU), organized a Prize Distribution Ceremony of the Islamic Quiz Competition on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Room No. 211 of the Administration Building.
The competition was held among students enrolled in the Introduction to Ethics course of the 1st Year, 1st Semester. A total of 183 students participated in the competition, reflecting remarkable enthusiasm and engagement among the student body. The top 20 performers were awarded special prizes, while all remaining participants received consolation prizes in recognition of their efforts and participation. In addition, students who maintained 100% attendance throughout the semester were honored with certificates of merit.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests. Professor Dr. Md. Ashraf Ali, the honorable Vice Chancellor of the university, attended as the Chief Guest. The Special Guests included Professor Dr. Hossain Reza, Advisor and Emeritus Professor of the university; Professor Dr. Mostofa Mahmud Hasan, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Director of IQAC; Professor Dr. Abu Torab Md. Hasan, Controller of Examinations; and Dr. Md. Motahar Hossain, Head of the BBA Department.
The welcome address was delivered by Md. Atiqul Islam, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Islamic Studies. The ceremony was hosted and moderated by Md. Mozammel Haque, Lecturer, Department of Islamic Studies.
The program commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur'an by Md. Abdul Momin, a student of the 17th Batch, Department of Islamic Studies.
The event was widely praised as a meaningful initiative to nurture students' knowledge of Islamic values and academic discipline, aligning with the university's broader commitment to holistic education.
