On 02 May 2026, the Department of Business Administration of Khwaja Yunus Ali University organized an industrial tour to Alim Knit (BD) Ltd. with the objective of gaining practical knowledge about the operations of the garment manufacturing industry. A total of 31 students and 8 teachers participated in this educational visit. The main purpose of the tour was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom and practical experience in the real industrial environment.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to observe different sections of the factory, including knitting, dyeing, finishing, quality control, and packaging. The management of Alim Knit (BD) Ltd. provided a detailed explanation of their production process, organizational structure, and the responsibilities of various departments involved in the manufacturing process. They also explained how modern machinery and advanced technology are used to maintain product quality and meet international standards.

The tour helped students gain firsthand knowledge about the workflow of a garment factory, starting from raw materials to the final finished products ready for export. They learned about production planning, supply chain management, quality assurance, and the importance of teamwork in maintaining efficient industrial operations. The factory officials also discussed the role of the ready-made garments sector in the economy of Bangladesh and highlighted the opportunities and challenges faced by the industry.

Students actively participated in discussions with the factory management and asked various questions regarding production management, worker safety, export procedures, and operational efficiency.
