Md. Hedaytul Alom (Shohag Reza) of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU), has achieved remarkable success at the Fibonacci International Robot & STEM Olympiad (FIRSO) 2026 – Bangladesh National Round, held on 4 September 2026 at United International University (UIU), Dhaka. Competing in the Line Follower Robot segment as a member of Team Igniter, Shohag secured the National Championship, with RUET and DUET finishing as 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

This outstanding achievement has earned Shohag and Team Igniter qualification for the International Round in Rome, Italy, marking a significant milestone for KYAU and its EEE Department. The success reflects the students’ dedication, technical expertise, and passion for robotics, while showcasing KYAU’s growing presence on national and international platforms. The Department of EEE extends its heartfelt congratulations to Shohag and Team Igniter and wishes them continued success at the international round in Rome.
