A Historic First for KYAU: EEE Student Represents Bangladesh and Secures Three International Awards
In a landmark achievement for Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU), Mohammad Hasibur Rahman Khan, a 14th-batch student of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), proudly represented Bangladesh and KYAU at the World Sustainable Development Goals Challenge (WSDGC) 2026, held from 24–28 September 2026 at Multimedia University (MMU), Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
Presenting his innovative project, “Elite Trio – Vision-Based Smart Agricultural Robot,” he showcased a technology-driven approach to crop monitoring and smart agricultural management. In a historic first for KYAU, the project secured three prestigious international recognitions: Champion – Platinum Award, Gold Award (2nd Place), and the Planet Protector Award for SDG 2: Zero Hunger.
This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone in KYAU’s journey of innovation, global participation, and international recognition, bringing pride to the university, the EEE Department, and Bangladesh.
The project was carried out under the supervision of Ibrar Ahmmed, Lecturer, Department of EEE, with overall guidance and support from Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahed Akond, Dean school of science and engineering & Head of the Department of EEE, and Hasibur Rahman, Lecturer, Department of EEE.
