The Department of Pharmacy, Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU), successfully organized an Inter-Batch Debate Competition, bringing together students in an engaging platform for intellectual exchange, critical thinking, and constructive argumentation.

The 23rd Batch emerged as the Champion, maintaining their unbeaten run throughout the competition, while the 22nd Batch secured the Runner-up position.

Debate Topic

“নতুন ঔষধ আবিষ্কার ও গবেষণার চেয়ে মানসম্মত জেনেরিক ঔষধের বাণিজ্যিক উৎপাদন ও বিপণন আমাদের দেশের জন্য বেশি জরুরি।”

The programme was graced by the presence of distinguished university authorities, faculty members, and students. Prof. Dr. Md. Asraf Ali, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Khwaja Yunus Ali University, attended as the Chief Patron. The event was also attended by Prof. Dr. Fazle Rabbi Shakil Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Bio-medical Science; Prof. Dr. Hossain Reza, Emeritus Professor; Associate Prof. Dr. Naznin Shahria, Head, Department of Pharmacy; and Md. Mizanur Rahman, Registrar, Khwaja Yunus Ali University.

The debate provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, analytical abilities, public speaking skills, and capacity to engage with contemporary issues in pharmacy and healthcare. The vibrant participation of students and faculty members contributed to the success of the programme.
