The Cell and Gene Club of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology (BCBT), School of Biomedical and Life Sciences, Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU) organized an academic session titled “From Aspiration to Impact: Building a Research Career and Preparing for Higher Studies” on 24 September 2026 at Room No. 211.
The session was conducted by Mohammad Uzzal Hossain, PhD Candidate at the University of Oxford, UK, and Head of the Bioinformatics Division, National Institute of Biotechnology (NIB), Ministry of Science and Technology, Bangladesh.
During the session, the speaker shared valuable insights into research preparation, developing a strong academic and research profile, identifying opportunities for higher studies, and preparing for advanced research careers. He also provided practical guidance to students aspiring to pursue postgraduate education and research opportunities at national and international institutions.
The interactive session provided students with an opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge about research career development and the preparation required for higher studies. The program encouraged participants to develop their research interests, strengthen their academic skills, and approach future educational and professional opportunities with clear goals and effective planning.
