A team from the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU) visited the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology (BCBT) on 8 September 2026 to review the progress of documentation and preparations for program accreditation under the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) framework.

The visit was attended by Prof. Dr. Mostofa Mahmud Hasan, Director, IQAC, KYAU, along with members of the IQAC team and faculty members of the department. During the session, the team reviewed the current status of accreditation-related documents and supporting evidence and received updates on the department’s ongoing quality assurance activities.

The discussion focused on the systematic preparation, organization, and maintenance of documentation in line with BAC standards and criteria. Particular attention was given to Outcome-Based Education (OBE), academic and quality assurance records, supporting evidence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The IQAC team provided constructive observations and guidance to further strengthen the documentation process and address areas requiring additional attention. The visit also enhanced coordination between IQAC and BCBT and contributed to the department’s continued efforts toward quality enhancement and accreditation readiness.
