The Research and Innovation Cell of Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU) organized a research seminar titled “Microbial Diversity Across Freshwater and Marine Habitats in a Tropical Delta” on 22 September 2026 at the Conference Room of the Administrative Building. The seminar was conducted by Mr. Hazrat Ali, Lecturer, Department of Microbiology, with the participation of 81 faculty members and researchers.
The session was formally inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Fazle Rabbi Shakil Ahmed, Additional Director (ETA) of IQAC, who highlighted the importance of research and knowledge sharing in strengthening the university’s academic and research environment.
In his presentation, Mr. Hazrat Ali discussed microbial diversity in freshwater and marine ecosystems, focusing on the ecological significance of microorganisms and their adaptation to different aquatic habitats in tropical delta regions. The seminar provided participants with valuable insights into microbial ecology and potential areas for further research.
The session concluded with remarks from the Controller of Examinations Prof. Abu Torab Md. Hassan, who shared important tips and guidance regarding examination rules and procedures, emphasizing compliance with academic regulations and proper examination practices.
The seminar contributed to enhancing research awareness, encouraging academic interaction, and promoting a stronger research culture at KYAU.
