A UGC-appointed inspection committee visited the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU) on 28 August 2026 to inspect the department’s laboratories, library, classrooms, and other academic facilities in connection with the proposed increase in student intake for the B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering program.

The inspection committee comprised Professor Dr. Abu Sayed Md. Mostafizur Rahaman, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Jahangirnagar University, as Convenor and Expert Member, and Mr. Sumon Mia, Administrative Officer, UGC, as Member-Secretary.

The visiting committee was warmly welcomed by Professor Dr. Md. Asraf Ali, Vice-Chancellor of Khwaja Yunus Ali University, and F M Javed Mehedi Shamrat, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of CSE. They accompanied the committee throughout the visit and facilitated the inspection of the department’s laboratories, classrooms, library, and other academic facilities.

During the visit, Professor Dr. Abu Sayed Md. Mostafizur Rahaman conducted a short interactive session with the faculty members of the CSE Department. He shared valuable insights and constructive guidance on strengthening academic activities, enhancing teaching and learning practices, promoting faculty development, and creating better academic and professional opportunities for students and teachers.

The visit provided an important platform for academic exchange, expert guidance, and institutional development. The CSE Department expressed its commitment to implementing constructive recommendations and continuing its efforts toward academic excellence, quality education, innovation, and greater opportunities for its students and faculty members.
