KYAU Vice-Chancellor meets Education Minister at QS Bangladesh Forum 2026

The Vice-Chancellor of Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU) met with Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Hoque Milon, Hon’ble Education Minister of Bangladesh, on 17 August 2026 at Sheraton Dhaka, on the occasion of the QS Bangladesh Forum 2026.

The forum, held under the theme “Benchmark Bangladesh: Building World-Class Universities Through Global Standards,” brought together representatives of universities, policymakers, and other stakeholders in higher education to discuss the opportunities and challenges of strengthening Bangladesh’s higher education sector.

The event was hosted by American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) with the support of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC), the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB), and QS (Quacquarelli Symonds).

The occasion provided an opportunity for the Vice-Chancellor to exchange views with the Hon’ble Education Minister on various aspects of higher education, including academic excellence, research and innovation, quality assurance, internationalization, and the adoption of global standards in Bangladeshi universities.

The event was also attended by Prof. Dr. Mostofa Mahmud Hasan, Dean, School of Business and Human Sciences; Prof. Dr. Fazle Rabbi Shakil Ahmed, Dean, School of Biomedical and Life Sciences; Prof. Dr. M. Shahed Akond, Dean, School of Science and Engineering; and Md. Mizanur Rahman, Registrar (In-Charge), Khwaja Yunus Ali University.

Participation in the QS Bangladesh Forum 2026 reflects KYAU’s continued engagement with national and international initiatives aimed at strengthening the quality and global standing of higher education. The university remains committed to promoting academic excellence, research and innovation, quality assurance, and the adoption of international best practices to contribute to the development of a globally competitive higher education sector in Bangladesh.
