Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU) — The EEE Club of KYAU, under the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), has successfully completed the recruitment process for its Advanced Robotics Training Program. The program has been designed to provide EEE students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in modern robotic systems.

The training initiative was announced as an exclusive opportunity for EEE students who already possess a basic understanding of robotics concepts. With the objective of developing students' practical skills and encouraging innovation in emerging technologies, the program attracted enthusiastic participation from students of different batches. Following a competitive selection process involving a laboratory test and viva voce, seven candidates were selected based on their overall merit. The final selection result was officially published on 24 August 2026.

The selected students are:

  1. Md. Hedayatul Alom (16th Batch) — 1st Position

The 6th and 7th position holders will receive an 80% course fee waiver and will be required to pay only 20% of the regular course fee. The Advanced Robotics Training Program will be conducted by Robo Tech Valley in Bangladesh. The seven-day intensive training is scheduled to begin on 15 September 2026 in Mirpur, Dhaka. The regular course fee for the program is BDT 25,000.

The training curriculum covers several advanced and industry-relevant areas. Participants will begin with Raspberry Pi setup and Linux essentials, followed by camera and computer vision, ROS2 fundamentals, and mapping and autonomous navigation using SLAM. The program will also introduce students to IoT, Edge Computing, and AI system integration. In the final stages, participants will work on practical projects involving an autonomous mapping and smart monitoring robot and a vision-based AI smart surveillance system.

The EEE Club of KYAU expects that this initiative will strengthen students' technical capabilities and provide valuable hands-on exposure to modern robotics technologies. It also reflects the club's commitment to empowering students through practical learning, innovation, and emerging technological applications.
