The EEE Club of Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU) successfully organized the first session of its Research Workshop/Seminar Series, titled “Research for Engineers: 101,” on 16 August 2026. The initiative was designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of engineering research and equip them with the essential knowledge and skills required to begin and develop meaningful research work.
The session reflected the EEE Club’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and fostering a research-oriented culture among students. In today’s rapidly evolving technological world, research plays a vital role in developing innovative solutions to real-world engineering challenges. Recognizing this importance, the seminar provided an excellent platform for students to gain an initial understanding of the research process and explore opportunities for their future academic and professional development.
The distinguished Resource Person, Khairul Fahim, brought valuable academic and research experience to the session. He is an Assistant Professor at Khwaja Yunus Ali University, a PhD Candidate at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, an Associate Professor at ZNRF University of Management Science, and a former lecturer at the China University of Technology. His diverse academic background and international experience made the session particularly valuable and insightful for aspiring researchers.
During the seminar, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of engineering research and the importance of developing a strong research foundation. The session aimed to encourage students to think critically, explore research problems, and develop the confidence necessary to pursue meaningful academic investigations. It also emphasized the importance of curiosity, consistency, and proper guidance in building a successful research journey. The interactive nature of the session provided participants with an opportunity to learn from the resource person and gain valuable perspectives on the broader scope of engineering research.
Overall, the event was a meaningful step toward strengthening the research culture within the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Through such initiatives, the EEE Club of KYAU aims to inspire students to explore, innovate, and contribute to the advancement of engineering knowledge and technology.
The EEE Club looks forward to organizing more research-focused sessions in the future, continuing its mission to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration needed to excel beyond the classroom.
