The event reflected the department’s commitment to promoting holistic student development by providing meaningful opportunities for students to participate in extracurricular activities beyond the conventional classroom environment.
In accordance with university rules and regulations, six houses participated in the tournament. Students from different houses competed with enthusiasm, determination, and a strong sense of team spirit. Throughout the competition, the matches were characterized by excitement, healthy competition, discipline, and mutual respect among the participating teams. The tournament not only provided students with an opportunity to showcase their football skills but also encouraged them to develop important qualities such as leadership, cooperation, communication, responsibility, and sportsmanship.
After a series of highly competitive matches, the Red House and Yellow House secured their places in the grand final. The much-anticipated final match took place on 13 August 2026 in an atmosphere filled with excitement and enthusiasm. After an intense contest, the Red House emerged as the champion and proudly lifted the Intra-Department Football Tournament 2026 Championship Trophy. The victory brought great joy to the players, supporters, and members of the Red House. However, beyond the result of the competition, the tournament successfully strengthened friendship, unity, and a sense of belonging among the students of the Department of Business Administration.
The final day of the tournament was further enriched with a number of entertaining and inclusive activities. Alongside the football final, Pillow Passing and Musical Chair competitions were organized for the female students, allowing them to participate actively in the celebration. A special competition was also arranged for the teachers and staff of the department, adding a unique dimension to the event. These activities created an enjoyable environment where students, teachers, and staff could interact beyond their regular academic roles and celebrate the spirit of togetherness.
The grand final was honored by the presence of the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar of Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU). Their presence greatly encouraged the participating students and added significance to the closing ceremony. They motivated the players to maintain discipline, teamwork, fair play, and sportsmanship both on and off the field. They also emphasized the importance of extracurricular activities in developing students into confident, responsible, and well-rounded individuals. The distinguished guests formally inaugurated the grand final and encouraged students to actively participate in sports and other co-curricular activities.
The tournament concluded in a joyful and festive atmosphere, with students, teachers, and staff sharing moments of celebration and camaraderie. The event demonstrated that sports can play an important role in building leadership, teamwork, discipline, mutual respect, and interpersonal relationships among students. More importantly, it strengthened the bond among different houses and contributed to creating a more vibrant and inclusive departmental community.
