BCBT Welcomes Batch 23 through Freshers’ Reception Programme

The Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology (BCBT), Khwaja Yunus Ali University, organized a fresher reception for the newly admitted students of Batch 23 on 2 July 2026. The programme, titled "Freshers Welcome to the World of Innovation," was held in Room No. 112 of the Academic Building with the support of the department's Cell and Gene Club.
The event commenced with the introduction of the department's faculty members and staff, followed by an overview of the academic programmes, laboratory facilities, research opportunities, co-curricular activities, and student support services. The session was designed to familiarize the newly admitted students with the department's academic environment and prepare them for a successful university experience.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Ranajit Kumar Shaha, Proctor of Khwaja Yunus Ali University and a faculty member of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, encouraged the freshers to pursue their studies with dedication, integrity, and scientific curiosity. He emphasized the importance of creativity, ethical values, and continuous learning in developing successful careers in the biological sciences.
Dr. Md. Tariqul Islam, Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, welcomed the new students and provided guidance on academic regulations, attendance requirements, laboratory practices, examinations, departmental discipline, and the responsibilities of university students. He also encouraged the freshers to actively participate in academic, research, and extracurricular activities while maintaining close communication with their teachers throughout their academic journey.
The programme concluded with an interactive session between the faculty members and the newly admitted students, creating a welcoming atmosphere and marking the beginning of Batch 23's academic journey at the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology.
