Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahed Akond, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU), participated in the National Semiconductor Symposium & BEAR Summit 2026, held in Dhaka on 25–26 July 2026.

The summit brought together academicians, researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, and technology innovators to discuss the future of Biotechnology, Electronics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, and semiconductor technologies in Bangladesh. Participants expressed overwhelming expectations for the new generation, whose creativity and leadership are expected to position Bangladesh's semiconductor industry alongside the garments industry in the future.

Representing KYAU, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahed Akond attended keynote sessions, technical discussions, and networking activities, exploring opportunities for academic and industry collaboration. His participation reflects the university's commitment to promoting research, innovation, engineering education, and active engagement in national initiatives driving technological advancement.
